GöteborgsOperan presents Tchaikovsky’s fairy-tale opera Iolanta as a double bill with Mozart’s comic gem Der Schauspieldirektor!
Conductor Aivis Greters leads the production, which features Swedish script, direction, set, and costume design by Staffan Aspegren Schenholm for Schauspieldirektor, with lighting design by Thomas C. Hase. Iolanta is directed by Christian Räth, originally created for Dallas Opera in 2015.
Performances: May 4 to May 25, 2025.
