Matilda joins the cast of Saariaho’s powerful final opera, exploring the lasting consequences of a school shooting and the complex themes of trauma, guilt and forgiveness.
With a libretto by Sofi Oksanen and Aleksi Barrière, Innocence is presented in Simon Stone’s internationally acclaimed production, with the Royal Danish Orchestra and Royal Danish Opera Chorus under the batons of Elena Schwarz and Leonard Elschenbroich.
