With this year’s WOYS singers the Opera Orchestra, and Music Director Edward Gardner, Sandra Bendrik takes part in Love Me to Death, a concert marking the conclusion of this year’s programme.
The evening features the world premieres of five newly commissioned murder ballads by some of Norway’s leading contemporary composers. Inspired by the centuries-old tradition of songs telling stories of love, desire, betrayal, and death, the new works have been written especially for the singers of the 2024–2026 WOYS programme.
