Daniel Johansson awarded the medal Litteris et Artibus by H.M. The King of Sweden

The medal Litteris et Artibus is each year awarded by HM King Carl XVI Gustaf for outstanding service to the arts, especially to music, dramatic art and literature.

Tenor Daniel Johansson was awarded on awarded the medal Litteris et Artibus with the motivation "For outstanding artistic contributions as an opera singer".

Daniel Johansson has been a guest at opera houses such as Deutsche Oper Berlin, Wiener Staatsoper, San Fransisco Opera and Bregenzer Festspiele. This autumn he sang his first Tristan in Tristan i Isolde at the opera house in Essen. Daniel has appeared in several roles at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm Don José i Carmen, Cavaradossi i Tosca och Rodolfo i La Bohéme.

In 2018 Daniel Johansson was appointed Court Singer by H.M. The King of Sweden.
