Don Carlos with Elisabeth Meyer and Matilda Paulsson at Folkoperan in Stockholm
Folkoperan in Stockholm presents Verdi's Don Carlos, staged by new Artistic Director Tobias Theorell, conducted by the new Music Director Henrik Schaefer. Elisabeth Meyer makes her role debut with Elisabetta and as Eboli we hear Matilda Paulsson.
The opening night is on September 22 with further performances until November 21, with two alternating casts.
Elisabeth Meyer has the last seasons appeared in roles such as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at Norrlandsoperan and at the Royal Swedish Opera she has appeared in roles such as Mina in Dracula, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. Matilda Paulsson has been a guest at the Göteborg Opera and the Royal Swedish Opera with roles such as Gold-Spur, the Fox in Janácek’s The cunning little vixen, The Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos and Paquette in Candide. Matilda made her role debut as Eboli in the 2018 summer production at Opera på Skäret in Sweden.
