Hanna Husáhr makes her role debut as Gilda in Rigoletto at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm.
The Royal Swedish Opera opens the season with a revival of Verdi's Rigoletto, staged by Sofia Jupither.
As Gilda we hear Hanna Husáhr, who makes her role debut with this production. Hanna has previously appeared at the Royal Swedish Opera as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and as Pat Nixon in Nixon in China. Katarina Leoson appears as Maddalena - a role she performed in the premiere of the production in 2018, as well as at the Metropolitan Opera in 2015. In the role of Sparafucile, we hear John Erik Eleby.
The opening night is on September 4 with further performances until October 18 2021.
