Joachim Bäckström sings Siegmund in Die Walküre at the Finnish National Opera
The Finnish National Opera presents Die Walküre from the new production of Wagner's Ring Cycle, staged by Anna Kelo and conducted by Hannu Lintu. The first part, Das Rheingold, opened in 2019 and Siegfried will follow in 2023.
In the role of Siegmund we hear Joachim Bäckström, who made his debut in the role at the Royal Swedish Opera in 2020.
The premiere of Die Walküre is on August 26 and will be played with five more performances until September 14. The performance on September 10 will be live streamed from the Finnish National Opera website.
