Malin Byström, David Risberg, Markus Schwartz, Jonas Degerfeldt and John Erik Eleby in La Fanciulla del West in Stockholm
The Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm presents Puccini's La Fanciulla del West staged by Christof Loy in his production from 2011. The court singer Malin Byström makes her role debut as Minnie, a role she returns to this fall at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Malin is joined on stage by David Risberg who sings Bello, Markus Schwartz, in the role of Happy, Jonas Degerfeldt as Joe and John Erik Eleby in the role of Jack Wallace. The Royal Swedish orchestra and opera chorus are led by their Musical Director, Alan Gilbert.
The opening night of the revival is on June 4 with four more performances on June 7, 10, 13 and 16 2022.
