Malin Byström sings Minnie in La fanciulla del West in Munich.
Malin Byström appears in the role of Minnie in Bayerische Staatsoper's revival of La fanciulla del West, staged by German film director Andreas Dresen, a production that premiered in 2019. The opening night is on October 16 with further performances on October 20, 23 and 28.
Malin Byström made her role debut as Minnie this summer at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm.
Malin has previously this season sung the title role in Salome, both at the Royal Opera House and in concert at the Edinburgh Festival. Malin will return to London again in November/December for Tosca, which will be followed by the premiere of a new production of Salome at Wiener Staatsoper later this winter. The spring will include her role debut as Rusalka in Bergen and she will sing Tosca in Stockholm.
