Daniel Johansson sings Tannhäuser at Aalto Musiktheater in Essen
Theater und Philharmonie Essen presents a new production of Tannhäuser, staged by German director Paul-Georg Dittrich, with Swedish tenor Daniel Johansson in the title role. This will be Daniel's debut in this role and later this season he will take on the role of Parsifal, also for the first time. The orchestra is led by Tomáš Netopil, the Music Director of the Aalto Musiktheater Essen and the Essen Philharmonic.
The premiere takes place at Aalto Musiktheater on September 24, with further performances until January 7, 2023.
