Anton Ljungqvist makes his role debut as Tonio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci.
Wermland Opera presents Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, together with Puccini's Gianni Schicchi with opening night on September 9. The performances are staged by Ole Wiggo Bang and led by Fredrik Burstedt. Pagliacci and Gianni Schicchi will be played until October 9 2021.
The role of Tonio is sung by Anton Ljungqvist, who prevoiusly has appeared in several roles at the Wermland Opera such as Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus and Figaro in both Le Nozze di Figaro and Il barbiere di Seviglia. Anton will also participate in Gianni Schicchi in the role of Betto di Signa.
Soprano AnnLouice Lögdlund, who is part of the Wermland Opera soloist ensemble, sings Zita in Gianni Schicchi and will also participate in Pagliacci.
