Endre Aaberge Dahl

The young Norwegian tenor Endre Aaberge Dahl made his role debut as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at Folkoperan in Stockholm in the 2024/2025 season. This season, he has appeared as the First Guard in Die Zauberflöte at the Norwegian National Opera in a new production by Barrie Kosky. Later in the season, Endre returns to the role of Tamino at Spira Kulturhus.

In 2024, Endre performed the role of Sam in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah at the Arctic Opera Festival, directed by Cathrine Skjærnes and conducted by Maria Medby Tollefsen. In 2023, he portrayed Reinert in Ragnar Rasmussen’s Heksehammeren with the Trondheim Symphonic Opera Chorus under the direction of Ursa Lah, as well as Uriah in Ståle Kleiberg’s David and Bathsheba with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra & Opera, conducted by Alexander Humala. He also sang The Lover in Amelia Goes to the Ball at Eskilstuna Summer Opera.

In 2022, Endre appeared as Norfolk in Rossini’s Elisabetta, Regina d’Inghilterra at the Norwegian National Opera in a production by Jacopo Spirei and conducted by Gregor Bühl. He has also sung Ferrando in Così fan tutte at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) under the baton of Luca de Marchi.

Endre Aaberge Dahl holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, as well as a Master’s degree in Opera from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO). He also undertook studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in 2022.

Endre has received several Awards and Scholarships, among them the GC Rieber’s main grant and the Lilly foundation (2024), the Norwegian department of culture (2023) and the Tom Wilhelmsen’s foundation (2020).
